Diet

You have to watch what you eat, but you don't have to starve. Just make a list of the healthy foods that must be you topmost priority, which include the green leafy foods (great fiber content in them), sugarless foods (substitutes like honey and unrefined forms of sugar can be used), oil-free foods (permissible oils include olive and canola), caffeine-free foods (they lower the metabolism rate of the body) and some others. You need to have carbohydrates, but try to stick to wheat based products as much as possible and avoid rice. If you practice this diet day in and day out, you will see the difference in about two weeks.

Keep one thing in mind. Never eat large amounts of food at a time, because the body finds those difficult to digest. Instead, break down the food quantities into smaller amounts throughout the day. This way the body will digest the food easily.

Exercise

The best way to lose weight combines both diet and exercise. But most people do not know what kind of exercise they must do. The best exercise would be that which targets the body as a whole and does not focus on a particular region. Like, if you have been doing crunches to get rid of your extra pounds, it is time to stop those. Crunches target only the belly area; this is not going to work if you are trying to lose overall body weight. Instead, cardio and full body exercises are much more suitable.

You must do brisk exercises for at least half an hour a day, preferably in the early mornings.

Supplements

Use a single natural supplement to quicken your weight loss campaign. It could be green tea, hoodia, oolong tea, acai berry or something that has you completely convinced. Do some research on these products before you begin. Know what they will do to your body.

Remember that the best way to lose weight does not mean the fastest way to lose weight. You will probably need to give it three months or so before you begin liking your body all over again.
